HOUSE on MOUNT DESERT ISLAND, MAINE
This is a vacation house for a multi-generational family on the coast of Maine.
The front of the house is a low bar of bedroom/bath suites with outdoor showers to the left of a recessed foyer and a kitchen to the right. This bar is a threshold to a tall volume rotated to the ocean view with living and dining room below and a children's dormitory above.
The clerestory-lit hall runs brings light into the center of the house and connects the interior to the ocean side porch in a continuous loop.
